ULASAN 1 - Pointers & Dynamic Memory Ulasan ini dibuat untuk video Youtube "Dynamic Memory Allocation" pada https://youtu.be/Dml54J3Kwm4. Video ini dibuat oleh Mike Murphy dan berdurasi 7 menit. Video ini diunggah pada 21 September 2011 dan memiliki lebih dari 36.000 penonton. Video ini menjelaskan mengenai bagaimana konsep fragmentasi dynamic memory untuk beberapa proses. Terdapat 2 jenis fragmentasi, yaitu external fragmentation, dimana tiap proses memiliki blok memori yang berbeda; dan internal fragmentation, dimana tiap proses akan memiliki blok memori yang sama besar, namun alokasinya dibagi oleh internal proses. Video ini juga menganalisis 4 algoritma memory allocation, yaitu best fit, worst fit, first fit, dan next fit. Pada Linux kernel, algoritma yang digunakan adalah first fit. Pada algoritma first fit, sistem akan mencari blok memori pertama pada iterasi yang cukup besar untuk menampung memori proses yang diminta. Performance algoritma ini akan berkurang
